Glendale Programs Save Energy

The California Municipal Utilities Association recently released its Energy Efficiency in California's Public Power Sector:  A Status Report.  This report summarizes the investments in energy efficiency and demand reduction programs of the 39 publicly-owned utilities (POU) in California for FY 2005-2006.  Of the 39 POUs reporting, Glendale Water & Power ranked 4th in total annual energy savings with 8,463,099 kWh saved.

As the table below shows, only SMUD, LADWP, and Anaheim, which are much larger utilities than GWP, saved more.
