GLENDALE, California – Glendale Water & Power (GWP) recently mailed the 2011 Water Quality Report to all customers. This is a report containing information on the quality of water delivered to Glendale customers during 2010.

“The quality of the water Glendale Water & Power delivers to its customers continues to exceed all regulatory safety standards, and meets all health requirements”, stated Dan Askenaizer, Glendale Water & Power’s Water Quality manager. “The 2011 Water Quality Report includes answers to frequently asked questions about Glendale’s water quality, highlights the recent capital improvements that will maintain our high water quality, and provides information on the sources of Glendale’s water.”

In Glendale, water sampling and testing is done on a weekly basis to verify water quality and to maintain a safe and healthy water system. Each year thousands of water samples are collected and tested by GWP water system operators and water quality staff as well as samples that are sent to an outside laboratory for testing. Staff reports the results to the State Health Department on a monthly basis.

For more information on GWP’s Water Quality, residents can call (818) 548–3962.
