Receive Monthly Electric Bill Discounts On Qualified Medical Equipment
What is the Guardian Program?
Running medical equipment around-the-clock can get expensive and raise
electric bills each month. The GWP Guardian Program provides monthly
bill discounts to our GWP residential customers who have household
members using doctor prescribed medical equipment or are suffering from
afflictions requiring special space conditioning.
This program may be modified or terminated without prior notice and is provided
to qualified customers on a first-come, first-served basis until program funds
are no longer available.
Are You Eligible For a Discount?
The amount of the discount depends on the estimated electrical usage of
your doctor- prescribed equipment. The following eligibility
requirements apply:
- Must be a GWP electric customer.
- Medical equipment must be electrically powered and prescribed by a
doctor.
- Eligible medical equipment includes:
- Aerosol Tents
- Apnea Monitors
- Blood Pump
- Extremity Pump
- Hemodialysis
- Heparin Pump
- Infusion Pump
- Iron Lung
- Kidney Dialysis
- Motorized Wheelchairs
- Nebulizers
- Nerve Stimulators
- Oxygen Concentrators
- Pressure Pumps
- Respirators
- Reverse Osmosis
- Suction Machines
- Ventilators
- Customers with special medically prescribed electric heat or air
conditioning needs may also be eligible for the program on a case by
case basis. Eligible conditions include households with paraplegic,
quadriplegic, or hemiplegic members and/or households with members
suffering from scleroderma and/or multiple sclerosis.
