Energy Saving Rebates
Due to limited funding, this program is now closed. No more rebate applications will
be accepted. Funding for this program will be available on July 1, 2012 pending City
Council's approval.
GWP’s Smart Home Energy and Water Saving Rebate Program helps our customers save
money on energy and water bills by offering cash rebates on eligible products. Most
of the eligible products must be ENERGY STAR® qualified, so look for the ENERGY
STAR symbol when making your purchase. For additional information visit

Qualifying Appliances
Appliance(s) must have been bought after July 1, 2006 to qualify for a rebate. See

Since Ultra Low Flush Toilets use more water than any other toilet and are the most basic model
on the market, they will not be rebated. HET models are more efficient therefore will qualify
for rebates when rebates are available for toilets.
Rebates for toilets are not available until July 1, 2012.
* "In Glendale Purchase" means that the appliance or product was purchased from a place of business
that is physically located within the cities of Glendale, La Crescenta or Montrose as defined by U.S.
Postal Service zip codes.
** If you have received rebates for three Ultra Low Flush Toilets from GWP in the past, the HET rebate
will be in the amount of $30 for out of Glendale purchases and $40 for in Glendale purchases.
ENERGY STAR qualified products meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US
Department of Energy. These guidelines can change each year. As an ENERGY STAR partner, GWP will
honor these updated guidelines and will follow them when processing rebates.
Other Requirements
- You must be a Glendale Water & Power customer and the product you purchase
must be installed in a Glendale residence.
- Rebates apply only to the products listed on the chart.
- Rebates for refrigerators, clothes washers, and dishwashers are limited to ONE rebate
every 5 years per customer per residence.
